Accurately assessing value is the best way to express dramatic light to a viewer. We will briefly discuss the difference between local tone painting and light and shadow painting. To achieve our goal of a dramatic light painting, we will be using all tools available to us to produce contrast. We will discuss value, color, and markmaking.
