I can’t say enough good things about this workshop! From the moment we stepped into the Chateau it was pure magic! I loved that Haidee Jo and Joe along with you and David and the Chef were all there to greet us. There was a perfect blend of teaching and time to paint. Haidee Jo and Joe were an amazing team and made time to give each student their full attention. All the artists were friendly, polite, and focused on learning!
I also loved being at the Chateau; the rooms were beautiful, the scenery was gorgeous, the food was beyond my expectations.
My biggest take-always:
The focus on art and painting! Joe and Haidee-Jo were always on the top of their game! The nocturne demos each night were a huge added bonus!
There was plenty of inspiration for paintings: landscapes, architecture, interiors, still life’s, and of course the two excursions.
There was just a great artists vibe!
The welcoming swag bags.
The welcome dinner and send off dinner.
Transportation to and from the airport (one less thing to worry about).
It was enchanting from start to finish! Loved the instructors (well-prepared, generous with their time and expertise, interested in each artists growth, and OH! I loved that they sent us emails and reading to do BEFORE the workshop! (I think that really helped set the tone for learning!) the other artists, the chef and her team, and of course the Modern Impressionist team always there making sure everything went smoothly!
Whew! It goes without saying, I’d definitely go back with Modern Impressionist Magazine and highly recommend it for other serious artists!
Love you guys!
My experience was fabulous. Starting with a spacious room in a fabulous chateau with fine dining (could have been a foodie workshop.) Master artist, Haidee-Jo Summers and Joe Gyurcsak walked an extra mile both literally and figurative during our planned events in two small villages plus our own art show. Plein air painting in the picturesque grounds of Chateau D’Halloy in Ciney, Belgium, the restful times we sat in the garden enjoying coffee, a glass of wine, or just the sun made the first Modern Impressionist Magazine Workshop a top notch winner all around. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I look forward to joining you again in May 2025.
I enjoyed every minute of the Belgium Workshop ! Difficult to say what I liked best....besides the amazing instructors, Haidee-Jo and Joe, I loved the flexibility that they gave us. Paint Plein-Air on the beautiful grounds of the Chateau, paint an interior scene, take a walk or simply observe fellow artists and admire all the talent.
Of course I must admit, the food was another big highlight and our two excursions were fabulous. Thank you for everything you and your brother did to make this trip SO memorable.
See you in the Spring in Umbria.
