A daily painter for over a decade, Long, previously a figure sculptor, taught himself how to use a variety of two-dimensional mediums while selling his work on the street in New Orleans. A full-time RVer until 2022, he’s known for painting the atmospheric cloudscapes and campground nocturnes he encountered in his travels. Workshop Description
Maintaining Energy in Your Oil Painting
Using simple alla prima techniques (brush & knife) and dynamic geometry, one can prevent overworking their paintings, preserving the initial feeling of movement and life throughout the process.
I’ll be working from photographic reference and creating three small paintings from start to finish.
