- Step-by-step workshop focusing on several approaches to creating quick, energetic, & colorful paintings using select aspects of photo references.
- Participants can work along with Chris as he paints sunset clouds, pastoral trees, and a nighttime road scene from start to finish.

A daily painter for over a decade, Long, previously a figure sculptor, taught himself how to use a variety of two-dimensional mediums while selling his work on the street in New Orleans. A full-time RVer until 2022, he’s known for painting the atmospheric cloudscapes and campground nocturnes he encountered in his travels. Workshop Description
Using simple alla prima techniques (brush & knife) and proportion measuring, you can confidently scale any small study to a presentation size painting, keeping your mark-making and energy intact.
I’ll be working from a 6″x6″ oil painting reference and creating a 24″x24″ piece from start to finish.
